HISTORY
Kippilaw is one of the historic rural holdings in New South Wales. Its history dates back to the early days of the Colony - taken up some 180 years ago by James Chisholm and his wife, and subsequently remaining in the family until 1987.

It was purchased some 15 years ago by the Rich family who now use it as the headquarters of their 10,000 acre rural operation in the Goulburn district.

HOMESTEAD
The fully restored two storey Kippilaw homestead overlooks the extensive established gardens and Wollondilly River. It comprises four separate wings around a central open courtyard, and is built from locally quarried stone, with beautifully crafted cedar joinery.


GARDENS
Today the Kippilaw garden has been maintained as an all year round garden - a relatively easy care garden with its inground computerised watering system from the Wollondilly River and the backup bore, together with the recent improvements including the tennis court and nearby inground swimming pool (7.5m x 14.25m), with small pool house (with shower, kitchenette and entertaining area).


THE FARM
Kippilaw is a viable working farm with 400acres of quality breeding and fattening country which have been well fertilised and pasture improved over the years. Currently fattening 160 yearling cattle, the farm is also ideally suited for other livestock pursuits, including sheep and lambs, stud activities or horses.

The property is extremely well watered for livestock with dams and a water reticulation system from the Wollondilly River. Designed for easy management, Kippilaw has grids (ramps) positioned throughout and an efficient livestock lane way connecting the main paddocks to the cattle yards.

Kippilaw annually grazes and fattens approximately 160 cattle on the pastured acres, supplemented by winter grazing crops.
